If I had something fascinating to say or thought of something that I believed could benefit someone, I wouldn’t hesitate to write about it in a blog post. But for the past week or two I haven’t had even one inspiring thought come to mind. Thanks to the IMD program that I’m taking at Algonquin College, these past couple of weeks have been spent doing nothing but school work. Maybe once the semester’s over I’ll think of something more interesting to blog about, until then I’ll keep my thoughts on a leash.
Imagination
March 15, 2010My first video entry
February 8, 2010Video for www.onlinefingerboardcontests.com!
February 1, 2010I finished what I consider to be my best fingerboarding video yet! It does incorporate a lot of my older video clips, but it’s got some cool new shots too. It’s rendering this very second, and will hopefully be up for the interweb to see in no time.
www.onlinefingerboardcontests.com
February 1, 2010Check it out! If you like fingerboarding, this website is a dream.
You’ll be able to upload your fingerboarding videos, vote for other videos that you like, you can even win prizes for having the most popular video! If your into fingerboarding, I promise www.onlinefingerboardcontests.com will be something to keep a close eye on. So far it seems like the only sponsor for the site is Z Shred. No doubt, Z Shred is wicked. But I’m surprised there aren’t more companies showing their love, Their love for fingerboarding.

Each of these fingerboard contests will last two weeks and the first one starts in just 24 hours. I’m counting down!
Sloppy and accidental photography
January 25, 2010I absolutely love sloppy photos.
Whether the white balance is terribly off, its blurry, overexposed, or the subjects not even in the frame; I just love pictures that have obvious flaws. Often, the more blatant the flaw the more attracted I am to it. I have this old Samsung flip phone, it’s camera is a piece of crap. But of the pictures I’ve taken with it, the ones I find most fascinating are the ones that I can’t explain. I absolutely love looking at the pictures in my phone to find that I’ve taken some without knowing. Random blurs, shadows, and streaks of colour that I find so fascinating. I spend more time staring at these, and trying to find how and where such a fortuity took place, than I do looking at most of my well taken photographs. Don’t get me wrong, a well taken photo is a well taken photo and each tells its own fascinating story. However, as I grow as a photographer I find myself more and more fascinated by the photo’s I can’t explain, than the ones I took the time to perfect.

My Hands are Falling Apart!
January 14, 2010For the past couple of years around the holidays my hands start to get really dry, and peel a lot. Yeah, its mad gross. Last year it was so bad that I went to the doctor in search of some kind of cream, or ointment. I was given something called Hydrocortisone, which worked really well. My hands were back to normal within a few days! But this year around the end of December my hands started to get dry again, this time the Hydrocortisone didn’t work. My hands are falling apart!
I’ve been prescribed a different cream now but as you can see in the photo’s above, my hands are still terrible. I’d like to say that it’s effing terrible but I think my “Portfolio Development” teacher will see this. I’ve only been using this new cream for a couple of days now, but it’s clearly not as godly as the Hydrocortisone because my hands are only getting effing worse!
